Ground Transportation

If your final destination is within the Metro Vancouver area, there are a number of transportation options available to you at the Vancouver International Airport.
 

  • Public transit (Skytrain)
    The Canada Line is a rapid transit rail link and a fast and easy way to access the city centres. Canada Line is accessible by elevator from both the arrivals and departures level. For more information on public transit, please visit here.
  • Taxis: Taxis are available any time of day or night at YVR, seven days a week. More than 500 taxis currently serve the Vancouver International Airport, including wheelchair accessible taxis. No reservation is required. Taxi fare is calculated by a meter based on time and distance of travel. The approximate fare to downtown Vancouver is $34-$36 (taxes included). Let the curbside staff know your needs and destination and they will get the right taxi for you.
  • Ride App Services at YVR: Ride App services have arrived at YVR. We are committed to providing our passengers with reliable and diverse transportation options. Lyft and Uber are both authorized providers of Ride App services at YVR. Please visit here.
  • Long-Distance Scheduled Bus: There are number of scheduled buses depart from YVR to Whistler, Victoria, Nanaimo, and the Gulf Islands. Contact the YVR Information Desk for information and directions. For more information on long-distance scheduled bus, please visit here.
  • Car Rental: Car rental facilities are conveniently located just outside the terminal on the ground floor of the parkade. Accessible car rentals are available. Please provide the rental company 48 hours advance notice to ensure availability.

  • Curbside pick-up: Vehicles may temporarily stop on YVR’s curbside to drop-off or pick-up passengers. Curbside operators will direct vehicles to parking positions near the entrance.
