Ukrainian Services (Українські служби)

Services for Ukrainian Nationals arriving under the CUAET program.

Community Network Newcomers Network (CANN) is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and its services are provided by S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

CANN officers welcome Ukrainian nationals and their family members at two locations in Vancouver International Airport: inside the immigration room and by International Departure, in front of counter 155. The program provides information, orientation and referrals to settlement and government organizations as well as referrals to emergency accommodations for those who need them. The information is provided in English, Ukrainian and Russian. Criteria for emergency accommodations is described below.

Inside the Immigration Room

The CANN program/officers will welcome you and provide information, referrals and orientation services. The CANN Kiosk is located on the left side of the entrance.

International Departure Area

If you landed at the domestic airport, please make your way to the international departures area ( level 3) and our team will be able to provide you with information, orientation and referral services. The CANN Kiosk is located opposite of counter 155.

Emergency accommodation

The CANN program provides this assistance on an as needed, urgent basis to Ukrainians who are unable to secure housing and have nowhere else to stay. CUAET visa holders are eligible to receive the accommodation from 1 to 14 days. This period allows additional time for Ukrainians to access one-time federal financial assistance and to find longer term housing.

Please note that we may be not able to accommodate all hotel requests. When we are out of rooms, we encourage arrivals to look for accommodation on their own as well.
