Event: Adapting to Canadian Culture
As a newcomer, you may sense that there are many hidden rules of conduct or practices that are hard to understand. You might discover that when you are here, many things are very different from what you first expected.
The goal of this workshop is to provide great strategies for a successful cultural adaptation. We will discuss:
- The features of Canadian life (how Canadians view time, communication, status, rule of law, and community life)
- Setting Healthy Boundaries
- Canadian Workplace Culture
- Suggestions on how to adjust to various situations.
This workshop is part of our Empowering Professional Immigrants in Canada – Women (EPIC Women) program.
